On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, "Brahmachari number 1" in an apparent reference to the Bofors scam. "Your father was termed 'Mr Clean'.... but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari No 1," Modi had said. On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi tweeted that the battle was over and PM Modi should wait for his Karma to catch up with him.
