Following the UN announcement of JeM chief Masood Azhar being designated as a global terrorist, China said it voted after carefully studying the "revised materials". Sources said that additional evidence was given to Beijing after it put a technical hold on the proposal earlier but did not clarify if the additional evidence was on Azhar's involvement in the Pulwama attack.
