Indian citizenship would not be granted to any foreigner without the consent of state governments concerned after the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the home ministry said on Tuesday. "The state government has to conduct an inquiry. Only then, an individual will be granted Indian nationality," the ministry said.
