Congress' Shashi Tharoor had claimed that an unnamed RSS leader had compared Modi to "a scorpion sitting on a Shivling". Following which Delhi BJP leader Rajeev Babbar filed a defamation case and termed Tharoor's statement as "intolerable abuse" and "absolute vilification" of the faith of the people. He added,"it is not only abuse of the Hindu deity but also defamatory".
