Dr.Denis Mukwege and Yazidi activist Nadia Murad have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 2018 for their contribution in working against the use of sexual violence as a weapon in war. Mukwege, a gynaecologist, has been treating victims of sexual violence in Congo and Murad was captured as a sex slave by ISIS until she escaped.
